When creating an online presence, it’s important to think about the basic ways people want to receive content. A carefully configured website interacts with many people simultaneously. The way people take in and distribute information is easily found on an airplane when electronic devices must be powered off and stowed. By structuring a site around six basic pastimes, you can attract visitors and keep them coming back for more.
I often hear from clients and even other designers, "I want ..." or "I have to have". Although the client should always be more than satisfied with their website project, I do believe that sometimes it is easy to lose sight of exactly who we are creating the website for, and why we're doing it.
