What are Feed Aggregators?

Feed aggregators are sites that consolidate all of your social media feeds. A great example would be FriendFeed.com. On this site, you would submit your username for each community you belong to and FriendFeed consolidates them all into one browser. When you submit a status/"What you are doing" in FriendFeed, the Feed Aggregator throws your comment out to post on all of the sites you have submitted. This saves you time, because, instead of logging into each and every one of your social media networks, you only have to sign into one Feed Aggregator to make your update.
