Several years ago, ROCKET MEDIA designed a new website for Phoenix area’s Burns Pest Elimination (www.burnspestelimination.com). Like most websites, the time came for Burns’ website to undergo some renovations to keep it as effective and relevant as possible.

Design

Layout
The technology we use to view webpages continue to change, so this means websites must also evolve to effectively meet today’s web standards, and Burns Pest Elimination website is no different. The new site features an updated look with a layout more appropriate for today’s larger computer monitors. Strong calls to action still exist, but now appear even more prominently on the page.

Bug Finder
Many customers that come to the Burns website are there because they’re experiencing some kind of problem with insects or other pests. To make finding answers easier, a “bug finder” is now displayed on the home page. Customers can click on the bug or pest they want to know more about, and be taken directly to a page with details about the pest and the proper elimination practices.

Content
Because many visitors come to the Burns website with questions about pests, it is important to offer informative and relevant content that will not only satisfy the customer’s curiosity, but help visitors convert into customers. To achieve this, fresh content and imagery with more focused and intentional landing pages were added.

CMS
A big part of maintaining a successful website is keeping information up to date and accurate. A content management system (CMS) is integrated into the backed of the Burns website so Burns Pest team members can easily make changes to content, upload blogs, add new resources and more.

Online Promotions
Everyone loves a good deal. With the new promotions section of the website, customers can check out the latest specials and discounts for use towards their next service.

Knowledge Center
Burns Pest is an expert at pest elimination. To help demonstrate their expertise and serve as a reliable resource to their customers, a full knowledge center was incorporated within the site. This corner of the website contains useful bits of information which can be found by reading the company blog, reviewing the glossary, faqs and more.
