We’ve have had the pleasure of a working relationship with Scott Roofing Company (www.scottroofingco.com/mobile) for a while now. Around the middle of 2010 we helped update their website. This time, they came to ROCKET MEDIA with a request to create a new mobile website.

 

ROCKET MEDIA created a completely custom mobile website for Scott Roofing that utilizes the color scheme and branding of Scott Roofing’s main site. It will allow Scott Roofing’s customers to quickly and easily find what they need on the go.

Custom Layout

The purpose of a mobile website is different than a regular website. Mobile visitors are usually looking for something quickly and looking to take action immediately. With this in mind, ROCKET MEDIA created a simple layout with pages that load quickly. The look and feel of the site retain the Scott Roofing branding while the site is minimized to be digestible by mobile consumers.

 

Navigation

On any website the navigation plays an important role. For mobile sites, it becomes the main focus. Mobile visitors to Scott Roofing’s website will be able to easily find what they are looking for with buttons that are big enough to be used on a touchscreen. The navigation from the main site is parsed down to the items that are truly essential to those on the go.

Content
A large amount of content is cumbersome on a small creen with slower load times. Therefore the content was scaled back, leaving only the most relevant content to be displayed.
